Chrome Browser Colors Problems
If colors for some images are appearing incorrectly, it could be because Chrome is using GPU functions which are not compatible. This article explains how to solve it.
If the methods based on setting options in the Chrome shortcut do not work for you (they did not work for me), then you can try:

MONITOR PROFILE METHOD

[right-click background] | Properties (Display Properties) | Settings | Advanced | Color Management

and try setting the "Color profile" associated with your monitor to "WideGamutRGB". You can add it using the "Add" button and then set it as default.

CHROME SHORTCUT METHODS

On XP machines you can try to enable monitor profile to get the right colors

"[Your Chrome Dir]\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" "--enable-monitor-profile"

or

To turn off Chrome gpu functions and possible get the right colors to appear, try disabling gpu acceleration

--disable-gpu

and disabling color calibration

--disable-display-color-calibration

This means changing the shortcut Chrome to:

"[Your Chrome Dir]\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" "--disable-gpu --disable-display-color-calibration"
