| In the Lavie MX2, NEC has designed a
unique and innovative machine which
utilizes a new technology called reflective
displays. In a typical notebook computer,
the display takes up the lion's share
of the power which limits usage times
to a mere 3 hours.
The MX2 utilizes a 10.4" XGA TFT
technology called reflexive LCD. The
R-LCD technology utilizes reflected
ambient light on the LCD. So, the more
ambient light, the sharper the screen.
This technology allows the MX2's
remarkable battery life - up to 8 hours
on one standard-size battery.
