Goal of the project:

Originally we planned to create an online FuNNy MiRRoR that distorts webcam input as a FuNNy MiRRoR from a circus would. This was changed to creating a FuNNy MiRRoR for the virtual receptionist in the LIACS entrance.

Description of the project: A video camera in the hall captures images of people entering the LIACS building. This image is transformed to an OpenGL texture. Various meshes are created upon which this texture can be attached. A mirror frame surrounds the distorted video capture so that the resulting image actually looks like a FuNNy MiRRoR. This FuNNy MiRRoR image is then beamed onto the screen in the LIACS entrance hall, hopefully surprising the passers-by.
