Goal
The intention of the project was to generate a window on a computer that was realistic and believable. A tromp l'oeil.
Practical Problems
During the proces the goal of our project changed every week. The cause of this was mainly technical limitations (software and hardware). Almost immediately after formulating the original goal, we thought surprising people with a window was much more interesting. The result was a bunch of funny idea's that included pigeons, old people and Bosnian troopers.
Concept
The goal changed to surprising people by using their curiosity. Also the concept had evolved into a window holding a scene of people in a living room. Of course the view is not very good because of the window shades, so you want to peak into the living room. When they notice spectators (people who are walking by) they close the curtains.
This concept is special because it combines several soft- and hardware (infrared sensor, flash) and plays with human psychology. |
